CANADA LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY

A few of my favourite Canadian images from my time spent in Canada

After years of wanting to photograph the Canadian Landscape, I was finally able to visit this beautiful country in 2018 and it did not disappoint.

Although I didn't get the best weather for landscape photography, it was still the most majestical experience and I came away with some images that I could only dream of. Fresh snow at Moraine Lake, the Three Sisters in Canmore, it was a winter wonderland.

Canada is a popular destination for landscape photographers due to its diverse and stunning landscapes which is why I wanted to visit. From the rugged coastlines of the Atlantic provinces to the snow-capped peaks of the Rocky Mountains, there is no shortage of breathtaking vistas to capture with a camera.

Some popular Canadian landscape photography locations include Banff National Park, the Canadian Shield, the Great Lakes, the Prairies, and the Rocky Mountains. I was on quite a limited timeframe so I based myself mostly in Banff National Park, Jasper and the Kananaskis.

Landscape photography in Canada can be challenging due to the vastness of the land and changing weather conditions. As I found out, most photographers will need to travel long distances to reach their desired locations and be prepared for unpredictable weather, including sudden changes in temperature, wind, and precipitation.

Regardless of the challenges, the end result of capturing Canada's stunning landscapes can be incredibly rewarding. The country's breathtaking scenery provides ample opportunities for photographers to capture stunning images that showcase the beauty of this vast and diverse nation.
